Born in the 1900s to a witch and a shipbuilder, Madeline Claire Candy spent much of her childhood and adolescence studying music only to earn a BA in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago. An ardent advocate of escapism and the art of deconstruction, Mad is fabricating her own little lense through which she can examine the ideologies that built the world around her and, perhaps, use her voice to bring one or two of them down.

She is the lyricist and vocalist for The Oblivion Chapel and she lives in San Diego with her dog, Cinder.
